Open House

The Maui County Composite Squadron team on-boards new adults 2-3 times a year via an open house event. This allows prospective members the opportunity to learn about our program and see if it something they are interested in trying out.

Adult Great Start

Following the open house, new members are run through an 8-10 week training cohort we call "Adult Great Start". These typically occur on Saturdays and Sundays, and last the whole day. Adult Great Start shows new members everything they need to know about Civil Air Patrol and helps them complete their first level of professional development. The benefit of members going through this style of on-boarding is that they build friendships with other new members before they dive into full membership.
